Hello World

I've been meaning to write more about the small problems I run into while building things - not the big architectural decisions, but the tiny moments where a component almost works, or an animation feels just slightly off, and working out why takes longer than building the thing itself.

Most of what I've learnt over the last eight years didn't come from the big rewrites or the RFCs - it came from these small, unglamorous problems: a focus state that breaks on Safari, a spring animation that feels heavy on a low-end phone, a design system decision that seemed obvious until three teams used it differently.

This is also meant to be an archive - a place to store these discoveries before I forget them, so future me has something to come back to. That's where I want to write from: not polished conclusions, but the actual process of working through something that's gone wrong.
